2019 Walk-a-Thon

SurvivorR Events, News Leave a Comment

On Monday, June 3rd, more than 250 people gathered for the 17th annual Survivor Resources Walk-a-Thon, as we walked to remember those that lost their life to homicide, suicide, accident or overdose. The event was a huge success and raised over $30,000! Every dollar given to Survivor Resources helps provide immediate and ongoing support for people who so deeply and urgently need it.

We couldn’t have asked for better weather as we took our walk around Como Lake, led by the Ramsey County Sheriffs Mounted Patrol Unit. Many attendees held signs or wore t-shirts in support of those they were walking for. Dinner was catered by Divine Swine catering and the food was delicious! The night concluded by decorating balloons to celebrate and honor our loved ones during a brief memorial service at dusk.

If you were unable to attend the walk but would like to donate to Survivor Resources, you can visit www.survivorresources.org and click on donate. If you would prefer, donations can also be made through the mail at Survivor Resources, 367 Grove Street, St. Paul, MN 55101. Corporate giving and purchases via AmazonSmile are also greatly appreciated.

Many thanks to those that were able to attend or donate. If you were not able to participate, we hope you will consider joining us next year! Also, please save the date for our annual Auction, taking place on Saturday, October 5th from 5pm to 9pm at the Lake Calhoun Event Center. Stay tuned for further details and information!
